As Vice-President & General Manager of the Edgewater Casino, Barry Pritchard will oversee all day-to-day details of the repositioning and on-going operation. Barry joins the Edgewater bringing nearly 25 years of gaming experience to the table including having a lead role in various openings across Canada. Having started in the business as a dealer in 1981 in Edmonton, Alberta, Barry progressed through the ranks to eventually secure his first General Manager’s position at Casino Sault Ste. Marie in Ontario in 1999. In 2001, Barry returned to Western Canada to join Great Canadian Casinos as General Manager of their facility in Nanaimo. After a short stop as GM of Great Canadian’s Coquitlam property, Barry’s experience and leadership skills were solidified when he was appointed General Manager of the largest casino operation to date in Western Canada, Great Canadian’s River Rock Casino Resort. With oversight of 1,000 slot machines, 100+ table games and multiple F&B outlets, Barry lead a team of approximately 1,000 employees through the grand opening.
