Gambling: Edgewater sold

VANCOUVER - Paragon Gaming Inc. said it has bought the Edgewater Casino in downtown Vancouver for $42 million, and it plans to expand entertainment options.

The privately held Vancouver company said it wants to add comedy festivals, concerts and community and cultural events in an attempt to improve the casino. Paragon said it also plans to increase parking at Edgewater and shuttle transportation to the casino on the former Expo 86 grounds.
