Projects - Eagle River Casino and Travel Plaza

Opening late 2007, the Eagle River Casino & Travel Plaza is designed to be a unique destination entity for Whitecourt Area residents and visitors alike. It will include a full spectrum of activities including gaming, dining, entertainment, hotel accommodations and an 815 sq. ft conference facility. A 106-room select service hotel is planned for the Travel Plaza, which will also feature a 160 seat restaurant, bar/lounge, a 2400 sq. ft convenience store, a gas bar, and a card lock truck stop. The casino will offer a wide variety of gaming activities with 200 slot machines, 12 table games and 6 poker tables. On-site parking will be provided for 325 cars and 50 R/V / commercial trucks. The project will be conveniently located 8 km north-west of Whitecourt, Alberta at the intersection of Alberta Provincial Highway 43 and 32N.
